Suitable for students with a talent for languages and interested in opening up to the world, travelling and having experiences abroad, and moving without prejudice in an international dimension.
It is a new international educational program, reserved for 20 selected students, with courses taught in both Italian and English, that prepares you for the challenges of the contemporary world.
The study of the history of civilizations and the cultures of other countries will allow you to navigate an international environment without prejudice and to appreciate cultural differences as a source of richness.
Thanks to international relations and geography—whether human, political, or economic—you will open yourself up to the world and appreciate its diversity.
Communicating in three languages will be your trump card. You will learn them in an engaging way, thanks to native-speaking teachers, workshops, language classes, study abroad programs, and international projects.
If you are fascinated by traveling to discover an increasingly multicultural world, International Relations is the right choice for you.
The final qualification is Linguistic Maturity
Classical Culture: This is one of the core courses in the first two years, common to all programs, focused not on the Latin language but on epic poetry, lyric poetry, and theater in the classical world. It is an extraordinary journey into Greek and Latin culture, which form the foundation of Western civilization.
Italian: The study of epic poetry in the Classical Culture course allows the Italian course in the first two years to enhance linguistic skills and introduce students to reading and writing.
English: 4 hours per week, native-speaking teachers, language workshops, and subject lessons taught in English for non-linguistic disciplines.
Geography: Studied from human, political, and economic perspectives, with a focus on world cultures and international relations.
Art History: Lessons begin in the first year and are taught in parallel with the history program.
Environmental Education: a highly relevant path focusing on sustainable human development, urbanization and pollution, renewable energy, waste, recycling, and the human impact on the environment.
Digital Education: elements of computer science, coding, robotics, the internet, artificial intelligence, and Office tools. You will learn how to create a video, a multimedia presentation, and a website.
Personal Education: study methods, teamwork, communication, self-confidence, and result-oriented skills.
Civic Education: law, citizenship and institutions, the Constitution, forms of State and government, and international organizations.
Economic and Financial Education: elements of economics and personal finance: budgeting, saving and investments, opening a bank account, requesting a loan, understanding a payslip, and starting a business.
Wellness: education on nutrition and healthy living, sexual education, and education on both traditional and non-traditional sports: yoga, pilates, dance, meditation, and aerobics.
Open-mindedness: You will open yourself to other cultures and move without prejudice in an international dimension, proud of your values but always ready for dialogue.
Interdisciplinary Education: You will learn to understand the relationships between history, geography, and culture with human, economic, and scientific development.
Openness to the World: Through geography—human, political, and economic—you will come to know the world and appreciate its diversity.
Active Citizenship: You will actively engage in the life of institutions and will be eager to leave high school to change the world.
Intercultural Awareness: The study of history, literature, and the culture of other countries will allow you to appreciate cultural differences as a source of enrichment.
Linguistic Proficiency: You will learn to communicate and effectively present the results of your work in multiple languages, which you will acquire through collaborative and hands-on methods.
University Pathways
You will be able to continue your studies in all university faculties, particularly in Languages, Linguistic Mediation, International Relations, as well as Economics, Law, Political Science, Psychology, Communication Sciences, and Journalism.
Career Opportunities
After university, you will be able to start your own business, pursue international careers, or enter emerging work contexts, both in Italy and abroad.
As a professional, in professional firms in the fields of linguistics, business, or psychology; in universities, research offices, and research centers in the socio-political field; and in international organizations, in political and diplomatic settings.
As a manager, in public administration and companies, in the areas of human resources, communication, international relations, tourism, international cooperation, and public relations.
Open Day: Participating in an Open Day is the perfect opportunity to get to know the school up close. Through multimedia presentations, the Principal and teachers explain the teaching method, the programs, and the IESS experience to families. Students take part in interactive workshops, where they experiment with the IESS method with the help of our current students. Open Days take place in person. Reservations are required.
Stage: Spending a morning at school is an exciting way to experience a typical day at IESS firsthand, alongside older students. Open lessons, workshops, group projects, and discussions with teachers allow students to get to know the Active Learning method and understand what it means to learn actively! Stages are always open.
Visits: A meeting with the Principal can be a great opportunity to gather further information, clarify doubts, and discuss personal situations in depth. It can also be the chance to visit the school, gain deeper insights into the IESS method, or explore the teaching approach of specific subjects.
